All of the transactions in the download section that need to be matched are giving this error message when you try to match them: "you can only match transactions in your register which are uncleared" NONE of the transactions are cleared yet. All of them show up with the standard lightning bolt, which I always took to mean that the downloaded transaction is at some level matching. Not downloading the transactions...seriously. All I have ever heard about QB bank/cc downloads is that it is buggy. A better office practise would be to record each cc transaction shortly after the purchase. That way the purpose of the purchase is still fresh. Use the cc statement to reconcile the account and fill in any missing transactions. The lightning bolt means it is cleared! (So does a check mark from a paper statement reconcile which you should also be doing!) Common problem is that the bank sends you the same transaction more than one time. Can happen if you download before the close of business and then after the close of business of your bank. It's not supposed to but not every bank cares about a perfect SlowBooks interface to their computers. Besides they all say your paper statement is the legal statement. Time for the A/P person to log onto the credit card company website and print out a statement(s) and current activity and have it as a reference while they clear the electronic statement. Once they are satisfied that everything is there, in QB delete the electronic statement with the spurious entries. That will send the duplicates off to bit land heaven. Starting from there the next day they should be in sync.
