So many of the quirks in Quicken are just so damn simple from a systems standpoint to fix....yet...Intuit seems stuck in the mud. I have to wonder WTF they do in their huge building, here in Edmonton, Alberta. Now that I lost D/L stock prices (31 December 2007) I am considering going for Q2009 when it is eventually released. Intuit is not motivated by TRUTH or HONESTY. Their main interest is SURVIVAL. Not unlike the human condition. Incidentally, the original question invited readers to express their opinions, which I did. My heart aches because you were unable to accept the verbiage I chose to use. IOW, whatever YOU wish to call what I described, I still think it sucks; you don't have to agree with me but you do have to at least allow me to express my opinion in response to the invitation to do so.
