I'm a user and sometimes contributor (although I have much to learn)... I found Allan's replies sometimes acerbic, sometimes irritating, and even sometimes very useful. It appears he hasn't contributed here in over a month. Has he gone or changed his alias or...?? In addition to the pattern seen here, there was a similar cessation of posts from Allan Martin and starting of posts from Haskel Laport in the misc.taxes.moderated group right around mid-March. Interestingly, this was shortly after the moderator of m.t.m. posted a message asking Allan Martin to contact him from a valid e-mail address (the badboy.com domain, although registered to a Jeanne Martin in San Diego, probably never had any connection to the e-mail that Allan Martin used in his last incarnation, just like another e-mail address he used in the past, cpa.com). Having spent a good deal of time in years past over at unmoderated groups for Oracle software, I am a "fan boy" of contributors who have something valuable to offer, even if they do it in a way that offends some others, especially newbies who don't know what to expect.
