Just upgraded to Quicken 2008 deluxe and after trying to create a PDF
from a register report, I now have corrupted printing of Register
Reports. The printer works fine in all other programs. Anyone else with
the problem????

I don't know what you did exactly. I searched the help for print register

report, then followed the outline there (sort of). I could not find
register report in the options under the reports in the toolbar so I made a
transaction report choosing a range of dates. Then printed to a pdf file
using the Quicken pdf printer. File was generated, and opened fine in
Acrobat Standard 8.0.

You need to describe your steps and results in more detail.

Click "Report" in the menu bar in a non-investment account
register.

My Q2008 Premier, R7 register PDF report worked as designed.

[I believe at one time (maybe Q2007), there were a problem with
PDF files and a separate problem with reports NOT generated from
the Quicken "Reports" menu option. But I thought those problems
had been corrected. I do notice that clicking "File > Print
Transactions" with a non-investment account register open, shows
a blank "Preview" when I try to use my old workaround, "CutePDF
Writer" (workaround for problems with Quicken's PDF writer); but
CutePDF works for the "register report".]

Ahh, there it is. Too many "flippin" toolbars and menus and whatever.
That works also, but indeed a pdf report is what you want to do unless you
enjoy printing a 100 pages or so on paper (if you didn't adjust date range
or another range).

Thanks all for your help. It was operator error. I didn't notice that
the printer properties page had 'color' as a default setting. I print
99% of my stuff with a printer file that forces Black and White. Quicken
trying to send color instructions to a B&W print driver confused the
hell out of it.

Thanks again
