Howdy to the Group,
TWC is my Internet Service Provider and how I get to this group to
read the various postings.
Just a heads up to any subscribers to this Group who may be accessing
the Group via TWC's RoadRunner Internet Service.
As of June 23, 2008 TWC will no longer provide access to any usenet
newsgroup feeds to any servers.
I'm making a formal complaint to TWC and asking for a partial refund.
It may be an exercise in futillity, but I'll feel better.
Have a good Day!
Pete

I hope you have some success but you can still read and post here,
there are plenty of other newsservers that carry this group. You can
subscribe to one of them or, better yet, if you want only text groups
try one of the free ones.

I use Motzarella http://news.motzarella.org/
AIOE also carries this group http://news.aioe.org/

There are others, Google will find them for you.

I'm with time warner, and just signed up with individual.net, for a phat 10
euros per year... pretty cheap. and WAY better service, and your post shows
up immediately. I don't need binaries so individual. net is fine for me.

Hi, Pete.

As XS11E reminds us, Google is your friend. ;<)

Google gave me 15,500 hits for "free news server" and over 3 million for
"free +news +servers".

There are plenty of choices!

Thanks for that info. I'm about to relocate to an area serviced by Time
Warner Cable (from an area serviced by Comcast).

I had no idea about this policy.
