Using Quicken 2008, when I did a One-Step Update this morning, it
flagged my checking account as if it has downloaded one or more
transactions for me to accept. However there are no transactions
listed. Anyone know what might have happened, and how I can either
find the transaction if there actually was one, or get rid of the flag
if there wasn't?

Ken:

I hate to ask a stupid question, and insult your intelligence, but...
Do you happen to have any scheduled transactions for that account?

Also, try hovering your mouse over the name of the flagged account. The
resulting popup may explain the reason for the flag.

Never a problem. I'm not at all insulted. You don't know me, and
checking to make sure is always a good idea.

No, I don't.

Interestingly, the problem went away this morning. I did another one
step update, which found four transactions. When I accepted these, the
flag went away.

Why this happened, I still don't know, but I won't worry about it,
unless it occurs again.

Thanks.

Thanks, I had already done that with no help. But as you can see from
the other message I just sent in this thread, the problem is now gone.

Ken,

Sometimes the transactions are stuck in the Online Center. Open up
Online Center and find the FI and you can initiate accepting them from
there. Don't know why this happens, but that it usually my reason for
the flag that I can't explain.

Wasn't the case for me (see my recent message) but thanks anyway.

Yes, your second update would clear out what was stuck in Online Center.
